Every year, the Texas Creative portfolio school releases poster designs that advertise critique week where students showcase their work. They needed a poster design that compelled creative directors and potential employers to come. Advertising creatives thrive on ideas and for us, ideas are currency. Not wanting to leave the office in fear of losing out on money is something on the minds of many. However, critique is full of people exchanging ideas. This is what led me to design “idea currency” and incorporate this onto a poster. Anyone can tear off a bill in exchange for an idea but you have to come to critique in order to get it.
