In this painting, human body parts are used as attachable pegs. An a-symmetrical grid system is given to the composition, giving the viewer a sense of incompleteness. Her body parts are painted with life-like characteristics but a lifeless blank stare has been given to her face. With this work, I highlight the parallels between the way dolls are treated and the way women’s bodies are treated in real life.
